Stronger Together: A Look Back at Our Title I Family Engagement Events

At Liberty Middle School, we know that a student's success is a team effort between our classrooms and our community. This school year, our Title I Family Engagement Events have focused on building those connections by providing fun, meaningful ways for families to support their students. We have hosted two wonderful events so far, and we want to thank everyone who came out to make them a success!

 Literacy Luau

Our first event of the year transported families to an island oasis for our Literacy Luau. The school library transformed into an exploration hub where families could browse through a sea of books together. Students and parents teamed up to play literacy-focused games, turning reading skills into a fun, collaborative challenge. Best of all, parents walked away with valuable information about the academic reading resources and support systems available right here at Liberty Middle School to help their children thrive.

Parent Communication Workshop

Our second event took a closer look at the unique and fast-paced world of middle schoolers. We hosted a Parent Breakfast & Workshop, inviting families to share a morning meal while discussing strategies for keeping communication lines open at home. Navigating the middle school years can be a transition for both parents and kids, so the workshop focused on providing practical, real-world tools and resources. Parents learned how to encourage open dialogue, ask meaningful questions, and better understand the unique emotional and academic needs of their middle school age students.

We are incredibly grateful for the strong turnout and the amazing energy our families bring to Liberty Middle School. Stay tuned to our website and school calendar for announcements about our upcoming Title I events later this year!
